Ms. Ali is an Associate at the Firm where she primarily deals with corporate matters and research. Previously, she worked at another eminent law firm in where she worked on both contentious and non-contentious matters, family law and inheritance issues, labour and employment matters and transactional/corporate advisory practice.

Ms. Ali has notably advised on oil and gas investment regimes for a USD $5 million cross-border acquisition by United Energy Group Limited. In the course of this assignment, she conducted a holistic assessment of the target companies with applicable tax legislation, foreign exchange guidelines, environmental law requirements, employment and labour laws, as well as the terms of the financing arrangements. She has also advised local and foreign companies, foreign lenders and microfinance institutions on corporate compliance with regards to state regulators such as SBP and/or SECP.

Additionally, Ms. Ali has an avid interest in gender justice and human rights. For instance, she has led a team on a multi-jurisdictional divorce case where the dispute spanned civil and criminal matters pertaining to the dissolution of marriage, maintenance, guardianship and custody. She was also instrumental in drafting an all-inclusive Harassment Policy and an accompanying Code of Conduct and Inquiry Committee Procedure for implementation in all branches of the Levi Strauss company operating across Pakistan.

Most recently, Ms. Ali spearheaded the drafting of service regulations for the employees of Balochistan Public Private Partnership Authority.
